Based on Ninja Spinner
Japan has not been releasing subsets lately, so English sets are now based on one Japanese set. Chaos Rising follows that pattern with Ninja Spinner as its foundation.
Mega Evolution · ME04
We now have the full English set list for Chaos Rising starring Mega Greninja ex! It releases on May 22nd as our fourth English Mega Evolution set, with prereleases from May 9th through May 17th.
Chaos Rising is nearly identical to Japan's Ninja Spinner. It adds three promos, adjusts several rarities, and trims one Illustration Rare to become the Elite Trainer Box promo.
Japan has not been releasing subsets lately, so English sets are now based on one Japanese set. Chaos Rising follows that pattern with Ninja Spinner as its foundation.
The English release adds Mega Gallade ex from January's Mega Gallade ex Special Set, plus Krookodile ex and Adversity Policy from November 2025 Gym promos.
With 122 cards total, Chaos Rising is slightly smaller than Perfect Order's 124 cards — comparable to 2017's Crimson Invasion in scope.
It then cuts Fennekin's Illustration Rare to turn it into the set's Elite Trainer Box promo. Ho-Oh, Keldeo, Crobat, and Goodra's rarities have been changed to Holo Rare in the English print.
With ongoing Pokemon TCG shortages worldwide, it is possible Creatures is intentionally designing fewer new cards to free up printing capacity — but that remains speculation.
All 122 cards numbered through 086 in the main set plus secret rares through 122/086. Includes five Mega Evolution Pokemon ex, six Special Illustration Rares, and one Mega Hyper Rare of Mega Greninja ex.
